Knowing God's Promise through Eyes of Faith
By Mark Lauer on Sunday, July 11, 2010Galatians 3:15-25
The eyes of understanding through which we choose to view life will shape our thinking and our actions. St. Paul appeals to the church to view God and reading of God's Word through the eyes of Abraham (eyes of faith) rather than through the eyes of Moses' specific commands of the Law (Jewish allegiance and works). Christians are to be people who see the "big picture" of God's story and are thus motivated by Grace and Faith.
